All of the IAA Performance Specialists are college degreed exercise professionals and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists. The specialists strive to continually improve their knowledge and education through vigorous research of the latest technology and approaches to sports performance techniques.
Each IAA Performance Specialist is a world-class authority on sports performance training and strength and conditioning for a SPECIFIC SPORT. This ensures that each academy member is provided with the proper training methods and precise exercise techniques that generate RESULTS.

ALLEN HEDRICK: Director of Performance Specialists
As Director of Performance Specialists, Allen will oversee the curriculum of each Virtual Sports Performance System.
Allen is currently the head strength and conditioning coach at the National Strength and Conditioning Association in Colorado Springs. In this capacity, Allen has worked with the world’s elite athletes in a multitude of sports and has been called upon to develop training programs, publish articles, and train athletes in each of these sports. This experience has given Allen the know-how to understand the specific mechanics of each sport and adapt training methods for athletes to acquire maximum results from their training.
Prior to his position with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Allen was the head strength and conditioning coach at the United States Air Force Academy for nine years, where he trained elite college athletes in a multitude of sports. Before accepting the position at the Air Force Academy, Allen worked as the strength and conditioning coordinator at the United States Olympic Training Center for three years.
Allen received his B.A. in Exercise Science from California State University, Chico, and his M.A. in Exercise Science from California State University, Fresno. He has been published over 70 times on a variety of topics related to strength and conditioning, authored two chapters in text books related to strength and conditioning, published a book on strength and conditioning for football, and produced a variety of DVDs on strength and conditioning topics. In addition, he has spoken at numerous strength and conditioning conferences and clinics, both nationally and internationally. Notably, Allen was selected as the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2003 by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
With his experience training elite and youth athletes in a variety of sports, as well as his expertise and reputation as an authority on sports performance and strength and conditioning across the world, Allen exemplifies Intelligent Athlete Academy’s commitment to providing each of our members with the absolute highest level of sports-specific performance training and personalized instruction.
MARK WILLIAMS: Soccer Performance Specialist
Mark Williams will be responsible for the development, implementation, and new advancements of the personalized program curriculum in our Virtual Soccer Performance Systems at Intelligent Athlete Academy.
Mark’s elite resume includes the development and execution of strength and conditioning and soccer performance training programs for players from the U.S. and Canadian Men’s Olympic Teams, the U.S. Men’s National Team, the U-20 U.S. Men’s National Team, various MLS teams, and thousands of elite, college, prep, and youth athletes and teams around the country.
Additionally, Mark worked for three years as the head strength and conditioning coach for the MLS team now known as the New York Red Bulls. With the Red Bulls, Mark evaluated the performance of each athlete to develop personalized performance training solutions to improve each athlete’s weaknesses and enhance his strengths. Most recently, Mark was hired by the new WPS league’s Sky Blue FC (www.womensprosoccer.com) to handle all of its soccer performance training.
Mark is the founder of Williams Soccer Performance Systems based out of New Jersey. His experience training thousands of soccer players each year, ranging in skill and experience from beginner to elite, allows Mark to provide the highest level of personalized soccer performance solutions to each athlete. Members of the Intelligent Athlete Academy’s Virtual Soccer Performance System will significantly maximize their productivity on the field through Mark’s expert off-field performance training and instruction.
MARK NEMISH: Hockey Performance Specialist
Mark Nemish will be responsible for the development, implementation, and new advancements of the personalized program curriculum in our Virtual Hockey Performance Systems at Intelligent Athlete Academy.
Mark has numerous years of experience working with all levels of hockey players and teams. The NHL’s Nashville Predators were so impressed with Mark’s ability to improve hockey performance in individual athletes that they hired him as director of strength and conditioning before they even drafted a team, a position Mark held for six years.
Currently, Mark is the head strength and conditioning coach for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, where he is responsible for improving the strength and performance of each athlete by developing personalized training programs for both the in-season and off-season stages of the year, as well as creating a procedure for testing and monitoring each athlete’s progress. Alexander Ovechkin, the 2008 NHL MVP, is one of the key athletes Mark is responsible for with the Capitals.
Before joining the Nashville Predators, Mark was a strength and conditioning coach at a number of universities such as Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee State, Richmond, and the University of North Dakota. At these institutions, he trained both male and female athletes in a variety of sports including: hockey, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field, tennis, golf, volleyball, swimming, diving, and softball. Mark has also earned three college degrees, including a master’s degree from the University of North Dakota.
Mark is also the director and co-owner of Dynamic Sports Performance, a high-performance training facility in Ashburn, Virginia, where he trains a multitude of hockey players of various experience and skill level each year. Mark’s experience training the world’s elite hockey athletes, combined with his versatility in personalizing training programs for athletes of any skill level, is why Intelligent Athlete Academy has partnered with Mark. Each member of the Intelligent Athlete Academy’s Virtual Hockey Performance System will see the RESULTS of working with a hockey performance and strength and conditioning expert.
BRIAN YEAGER: Lacrosse Performance Specialist
Brian Yeager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and new advancements of the personalized program curriculum in our Virtual Lacrosse Training Systems at Intelligent Athlete Academy.
Brian was formerly the strength and conditioning coach for Major League Lacrosse’s 2006 World Champion Philadelphia Barrage and has been a performance coach and consultant with athletes on the New York Titans, Long Island Lizards, and the Portland Lumberjax. Notably, he trained John Christmas of the Boston Cannons and the Philadelphia Wings, the MLL’s 2006 Most Improved Player.
Brian brings his world-class experience and expertise to Intelligent Athlete Academy, giving lacrosse athletes from around the world the opportunity to receive elite lacrosse-specific training through our Virtual Lacrosse Training Systems that he has developed.
Currently, Brian owns and operates Pro Strength Performance, an athletic training company based out of Philadelphia. In this capacity, he trains hundreds of beginner to elite athletes each year through a highly specialized method of assessment designed to optimize training to improve the performance of each athlete. Brian’s background, knowledge, and experience in applied sports performance will produce on-field RESULTS for each member of the Intelligent Athlete Academy’s Virtual Lacrosse Performance System.
